Where to Eat Post-Quarantine
As restaurants and businesses are starting to reopen, our team is looking forward to getting back to our favorite dining spots around Raleigh and beyond. Some team favorites include Cape Fear Seafood Company, Cantina 18, and The Beach Shop & Grill. Keep reading to see if your go-to spots made the list!
Haynes Pick: Locally Owned Restaurants
"I have already begun to venture out to as many locally owned restaurants as I can find that are open and support them. Had lunch this week at Cantina 18 on the patio and it was great! We all need to keep supporting locally owned restaurants as often as we can afford, so they need us!”
Clark’s Pick: Cape Fear Seafood Company
“I am really looking forward to eating at Cape Fear Seafood Company. I am missing the beach so much. Their fresh seafood will be the next best thing to being at the coast.”
Johnna’s Pick: Beasley’s Chicken & Honey
“I would like to eat at Beasley’s Chicken & Honey. I really miss eating their honey drizzled fried chicken and baked pimento mac n cheese while sipping on their signature cocktails.”
Shannon’s Pick: The Oak Steakhouse
“Post-Quarantine I can’t wait to go eat at The Oak Steakhouse for their beef wellington…it is out of this world! The atmosphere is lovely, especially if you are sitting near the wall of wine bottles. Their mac and cheese with smoked gouda and brussels sprouts covered in maple sherry vinaigrette is amazing and did I mention they have a great selection of Vino? Can’t wait!
Kyle’s Pick: Crawford and Sons
“Crawford and Sons. I’ve been once before and raved about the experience and quality of the food. Been waiting to get back to dive into other menu items.”
Samantha’s Pick: The Beach Shop & Grill
“The Beach Shop & Grill in Topsail Beach, NC – It’s located at the South End of Topsail Beach, NC and it’s the perfect place to stop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Although I enjoy the food, I cannot visit without shopping at The Beach Shop. It’s also awesome that a portion of proceeds supports Bullies 2 The Rescue.”
Evan’s Pick: The Oak
“The Oak. I love their small plates and fun atmosphere. They also have a very tasteful cocktails menu and what feels like a million bourbons.“
Angie’s Pick: The Fiction Kitchen
“The Fiction Kitchen in Raleigh, because their innovative all vegetarian and vegan restaurant is a locally-owned, originally crowdfunded business that offers some of the most delicious homemade vegetarian food I’ve ever eaten. Chef Caroline Morrison is a food magician. I’m dying for a fried “chicken” sandwich on their made-in-house focaccia bread with some root vegetable fries on the side.”
